Baby B & Family

This shoot was indoors at my "studio" LOL! This adorable family came to get some newborn shots and family shots with their precious 5 week old daughter. Her schedule was a little messed up and we had to work on her time frame, which is quite normal. We managed to get some very nice shots, and she even slept for a bit. The sleeping angel did not tolerate much posing though. Immediately following the session my family and I tore out some very dated tile and began a week of torture with the installation of beautiful new hardwood flooring.

Karla, Brian and boys.

I spent some time with Karla, Brian and their boys on Saturday. Oh yeah, and Brian's truck, can't forget that. This family shoot is a sample of exactly what I would like future family shoots be like. Between us we had multiple ideas for locations and specific shots. They were creative and willing to go with the flow. Very casual and fun...perfect. I took yet another one of my offspring to help. He, as usual was very entertaining, (almost to the point of distraction) but an excellant assistant he is.

the Joy of knitting!

Still not getting this done daily...
Here are my latest shots, I love doing it, just not good at making the time every day.

A photo journal...

Well, I am going to give this a shot. The idea is this "one picture a day for 365 days". So far, I am behind. When I do work on it it is great fun. Here are a couple of my first images.

City Lights

Haylee and I decided to experiment downtown. We were on a mission to get some city lights in action. She actually wanted to be in some of the shots (most) which is "COMPLETELY OUT OF CHARACTER" for her. We had dinner afterward at the Wazee Super Club, our plan was to shoot some more after dinner, but it was tooooo cold. I am sure we will do it again. I love sharing this art with my kids!

Hands&Feet

Something fun between shoots. I wanted to post some shots that I love! Some of these images go back 3 or 4 years, and the subjects are still clients today. I am truely grateful for each and every person that chooses me to photograph their special occasions.

First baby of the year

I am not so good at this blogging thing...clearly. Need to do a little catching up. Winter-shooting indoors and trying to make it exciting, not easy. This little guy was so happy and easy going, he put everything right in his mouth, that is what a 5 month old does. His big brother was there during the shoot, but did not want to be involved in the photos. I had to bribe him to take a picture with baby brother and his mom. I used a new set up for the shoot, I think it turned out well, it included bargains from Home Depot, the fabric store...and my most favorite place the thrift store.
